GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The
Florida Atlantic women's track & field team had a strong start to 2026 with a new program record at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Friday.
Friday marked the Owls' first meet of the indoor season, the first with Assistant Coach

- In the 1,000-meter run, Rosa ten Berg started off the season with a new program record, finishing with a time of 2:47.38. She placed fifth overall.
- ten Berg, Adrianna Mier, and Sophie Dethier competed in the 1,000-meter run.
- Freshman Joelle White made her freshman debut in the 800-meter run.
- Out of 43 runners, Florida Atlantic had two in the top 25 (Camilla Nicholas and Adriana Lopez) in the 200-meter dash.
- Madison Brown competed in the 3000-meter run. She finished the day with a 10:08.53, placing sixth overall.
- The 4x400m team of Dethier, Morgan Pennington, Anabell Reumann, and Mier closed out the day with a time of 4:04.67.
The Owls head back to Gainesville to compete in the RADD Florida Invitational on Friday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 24.
