Hatch Set to Compete in the NCAA East First Round

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Jessica Hatch of the Florida Atlantic women's track & field team will compete Saturday evening at the UK Track & Field complex in Lexington, Kentucky at the NCAA East First Round, airing on ESPN+.
The junior will hit the track on Saturday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the 3000-meter steeplechase as she will represent FAU for the first time in her outdoor collegiate career. Hatch is the second Owl in program history to qualify in the 3000-meter steeplechase event, following Friederike Feil, who qualified four times in her career.
Hatch qualified for postseason, when she competed at the Penn Relays in April, running a time 10:07.58 etching her name as No. 1 in program history and the second fastest time in the American. She will be the first student-athlete to represent FAU since Jessica Lambert in 2023.
