BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's track and field was recently named by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic team, while individually,
Jessica Hatch has earned the distinction of All-Academic athlete. The USTFCCCA recognized student-athletes and programs that excelled both academically and competitively during the 2026 Division I season.

"Our team GPA is a reflection of the dedication, hard work and commitment our team has to succeed not only athletically but academically," said Head Coach
Alex Smolka. "They are willing to put in the hard work that goes into achieving excellent grades, and understand that ultimately, their academic success is important for their future. I would like to congratulate everybody that helped us achieve such a high GPA."
As a team, women's track and field posted a 3.62 grade point average to earn this distinction. A total of 23 team members eclipsed the 3.0 GPA mark for the spring.
Reese Anderson was a member of the President's List for that semester, while

Madison Brown,
Sophie Dethier, Hatch,
Laura Kuhn,
Leanna Lynch,
Camilla Nicholas,
Isabel O'Brien,
Cameron Shelby,
Andi VanMeter and
Joelle White all earned a spot on the university's Dean's List.
Hatch followed up a superb season on the track, where she qualified for the NCAA East First Round Track & Field Championships, with 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. She now adds this USTFCCCA accolade to her academic resumé, the first Owl to do so since Jessica Lambert in 2023.
"I'm extremely proud of Jess' academic and athletic commitment, and her constant desire to improve both academically and athletically," said Smolka. "She has done an amazing job in the classroom as well as on the track and the cross country course. With two more years of eligibility remaining, the future looks very bright, and I'm thankful for her commitment to her goals and our program."
