GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team closed out the trip to Gainesville to compete in the Alachua County Sports and Event Center Invitational after being back for the second consecutive meet.
The Owls started the competition with the 400-meter dash when they had Leanna Lynch kick the meet off for FAU. FAU competed in six events (400-meter dash, 300-meter dash, 600-meter run, Mile, 1000-meter run, and 200-meter dash) on day one of the two-day event. Camilla Nicholas, Adriana Lopez, and Jada Bolhuis concluded the day for the Owls with the 200-meter dash.
Day two saw the Owls competing in four events.
QUICK HITS
- Richelle Williams and Bolhuis represented the Owls in the 300-meter dash. Bohuis finished within the top 10 (40.46).
- In the 600-meter run, the Owls had a total of three participants (Rosa ten Berg, Adrianna Mier, and Laura Kuhn).
- All three runners finished in the top 10, with ten Berg placing first with another personal best time of 1:30.89. Mier placed fifth (1:34.46), and Kuhn finished eighth 1:41.60.
- Florida Atlantic had another runner place first, this time in the mile. Senior Anabell Reumann was first cross the finish line, finishing with a 4:53.19, a new personal best.
- Madison Brown and Morgan Pennington finished seconds apart to finish in 10th and 11th. Redshirt Freshman Reese Anderson also ran the mile. She finished with a time of 5:15.94 for her personal best as an Owl.
- Out of 60 runners in the 200-meter dash, Nicholas placed third overall and was the first to finish for FAU. Both Lopez and Bolhuis finished within the top 20, coming in at 13th and 16th, to conclude the day for the Owls.
- To kick off day two, freshman Joelle White started the day with the 60-meter hurdles prelims.
- Nicholas competed in the 60-meter dash prelims and qualified for the finals as she finished sixth with a 7.64. In the finals, she finished fifth overall in the 60-meter dash on the day with a time of 7.63 for a new personal best.

The Owls will travel up North to make an appearance in the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University on Friday, Jan. 30.
