GREENVILLE, N.C. --Â Florida Atlantic's women's soccer team will travel to North Carolina to take on ECU in an American Conference matchup on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
Thursday marks the fourth time that the Owls (4-7-2, 1-2-1) have faced the Pirates (4-2-2, 2-1-0) in 26 years.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- Head Coach Patrick Baker enters his 13th season at the helm of the Owls. Baker is one of the top 40 winningest active Division I women's soccer head coaches.
- The Owls enter their third season in the American Conference.
- Defender Daniella Diaz, midfielder Morgan McDonald, and forward Michelle Horan were named the Owls' three players to watch by the American.
- FAU has 12 newcomers on the roster in 2025.
- Graduate student Sloane Young leads the team in goals with seven. She is ranked 31st in the nation for total goals.
- Horan leads the Owls with seven assists on the year to improve her career total to 14. She is No. 10 in the nation and second in the American.
- Hailey Santiago has four goals on the year and leads the Owls with 16 shots.
- Young has been named American Honorable Mention twice this season (Sept. 1 and Sept. 29).
- In conference play, Madison Micioni and Young lead with two goals each.Â
ABOUT THE PIRATES
- Emily Buccilla enters her first year at the helm for East Carolina.Â
- Sophomore forward Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram leads the Pirates in goals (5) and assists (3).
- East Carolina is 4-4-2 overall and 2-1-0 in conference play.
- The last conference match was against North Texas when they won 2-0 (September 28).
- Thursday's match will be the Pink Game for the Pirates.
SERIES HISTORY
- The series history against East Carolina dates back to October 3, 1998.
- East Carolina leads the series 4-0. The last time these two programs faced each other, the Owls fell 2-0 in Boca Raton.
- The last time FAU made a trip to Greenville, the Owls lost 1-0 (September 14, 2023).
- Thursday's match marks the third time Baker has faced the Pirates in 12 years.Â
