BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's tennis (6-2) fell to fellow American Athletic Conference member Charlotte (5-2) 5-2 in a non-conference contest on Saturday night.

The Owls, who have proven to be tough in doubles play, dropped the point after an hour-long battle. The 49ers then held momentum, earning victories on four of the six singles courts for the match's final.

Jiri Jenicek and Simon Myslivec picked up their sixth doubles win of the season improving to 6-2 on the season. Juan Martin Jalif moved up a court, won his match 6-3, 7-5, and remains perfect at 7-0 in 2024. Fellow first-year transfer John Bernard, also playing a court higher than where he began the season, captured court five 6-4, 6-4.

FAU's next three matches will be on the road starting on Thursday, Feb. 8 at UCF.
