Jose David Segovia Perez Set to Join the Owls

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Jose David Segovia Perez will join the Florida Atlantic men's tennis team this August joining an experience squad.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Jose to the team," said Ricard Gonzalez, FAU's director of tennis. "He is a valuable asset, bringing experience, maturity, and a strong level of tennis. I look forward to working with him and witnessing his continued improvement. Jose sets high standards for himself and is eager to elevate his game even further."
Segovia Perez comes to the Owls with a UTR of 12.61 and a ITF junior ranking of 319. He holds three singles titles and five doubles titles. He will make the move to Paradise from Saint Leo where he earned an ITA ranking of No. 2 in singles and No. 3 in doubles play. In 2026, Segovia-Perez tallied an 18-1 singles record and a 13-5 record in doubles play. As a freshman the Valencia, Venezuela native built a 10-6 record playing on courts one through three. He gained his prep experience playing for the prestigious IMG Academy.
