BOCA RATON, Fla.Â
– The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming team will travel to Elkhart, Indiana to compete in the 2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championship from Mar. 9-11. This will mark a final chance for swimmers to improve their times and compete in the 2022-23 season.
The Owls will compete among 24 Division I teams.Â

Men
- The men's team finished in second place at the 2023 CCSA Championships
- Nick Shaffer set FAU records in both the 200 and 400 IM, with times of 1:46.82 and 3:48.79, respectively
- Rateb Hussein won the gold medal in the 100 fly (46.81) set a school record in the 200 fly (1:44.15)
- Dalton Lillibridge broke the FAU records in both the 100 breast (53.78) and 200 breast (1:58.21)
- A school record was set in every relay over the four-day meet: the 200 medley (1:27.66), 200 free (1:19.98), 400 medley (3:13.82), 800 free (6:32.57), 400 free (2:56.28)
Women
- Competing in their first ever championship as part of the American Athletic Conference, the women finished in 7th place
- Amelia Robertson became the first swimmer to earn a medal as part of the AAC, finishing in third place in the 200 back (1:58.66), setting an FAU freshman record in the process
- Kirsten Hobson, Maggie Casey, Lydia Lanahan, Julia Earnshaw, Jacqueline Grabowski, Riley Trout, Molly Jordan, Maddy Archer, Lauren Wright, Kasia Szlek, Avery Floyd, Megan Drover-Smith, and Dolores Margni all qualified for finals

Junior diver
Alicia Mora will be heading to the 2023 Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships to compete in the 1-meter after qualifying in the Zone B Finals.
