BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic swimming and diving will send a second member of its team in Leyton Roe, heading to Lima to represent Team USA for the 2026 FISU America Games.
Led by FGCU Head Coach Dave Rollins, Roe will be joining FAU Associate Head Coach Ryan Bubb, who is on staff with Team USA, in Lima from July 20 – August 1.
"I am really excited to represent Team USA. I can't wait to swim on the international stage for the first time! Thanks to everyone who helped me get here." Roe stated.
Fresh off his first season with the Owls, Roe was a major contributor for the Owls as they won their first conference championship in program history. At the 2026 ASUN Championships, Roe finished tied for sixth in the 50 free and was a member of the 400 free gold medal, a program record relay that clinched FAU the championship. He also won two bronze medals as a part of the 200 and 400 medley relays at the championships. He is also now fourth all-time in program history in the 50 free.
"We are extremely excited about Leyton's qualification for the 2026 FISU Games. It is a great honor for Leyton (and FAU) to represent the United States of America on the World Stage. We could not be prouder. Go Leyton, go Owls!" said Head Coach Lara Preacco.
