Head coach Alex Smolka on today's race and hopes for the seasonÂ
"Every season has a beginning, middle, and end. Today was the beginning of our 2022 cross country season and we can certainly learn a lot from today's race. Our two men Logan (Sallas) and Matthew (Labrato) opened the season and both realized that a lot of work will need to get done between now and our conference championship. Both will continue to learn from today's effort and improve throughout the season. We are taking today's results as a lesson learned and will be better for the experience in the future!
"On the women's side, we had a very positive experience! Of course we would like to beat more teams, but given how we raced and how we felt, the future looks very bright. Today's results make us very excited for our next race in Tallahassee."
