BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams head to Tallahassee to race in the Thomas Invite on Saturday. This marks the second of four regular season races scheduled for FAU this fall.

It will be an early morning for the Owls as the 8k race for the men will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the women's 5k race will begin at 8 a.m.

Women
- FAU's women team last raced in the 5k at the UCF Invite, finishing in seventh place as a team
- The women were highlighted by Madlen Kappeler finishing in eighth place (18:52.8)
- Casey O'Connor was the first Owl to follow Kappeler with a time of 19:44.9, placing in 24th
- Jordan Stevens (20:18.1) and Erin Shannon (20:29.0) placed in 37th and 40th, respectively

Florida Atlantic is set to host the eighth annual FAU Invite on Friday, Sept. 30 at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. More details will be announced soon.
