BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team wrapped up their busy weekend of two meets in two states. The distance runners competed at the High Point Invitational in North Carolina on Friday. On Saturday, after a lengthy weather delay, the Owls competed in the 4x100 and the 4x400 in the Pepsi Florida Relays in at the University of Florida.

- In North Carolina, Paige Saiz made her mark in the 5000m, finishing in third place (17:51.94). This is her new personal best and places ninth all time in school history
- Erin Shannon finished in the top 10 of the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:51.03, good for seventh best in school history
- Casey O'Connor placed 12th in the 1500m run (4:41.13). This time is good for 9th in school history
- Alexis Hill and Morgan Sharp finished in 10th and 11th place, respectively, in the 10000m run. Hill's time (39:30.33) is now the ninth best in school history
- In the Pepsi Florida Relays, the Owls competed in two races. In 4x100m run, the Owls (Breyanna Chambliss, Abraiya Elam, Cara Simpson, Eriana Teague) finished with a time of 48.56. The 4x400 team (Beyonce Green, Jessica Lambert, Simpson, Teague) finished at 3:49.45

Next Saturday, the Owls will return to the University of Miami for the third and final time of the outdoor season to compete in the Miami Alumni Invitational.
