Saturday Meet Program 200m Performance List Live Results

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team will head to Miami on Saturday to compete in the Miami Alumni Invitational. This will be the third and final meet this season for the Owls at the University of Miami.

Last Time Out

The distance runners had strong performances last Friday at the High Point Invitational in North Carlina with five finishes in the top 15 of an event.
Paige Saiz not only finished in third place in the 5000m, (17:51.94), but also set a new personal best. This places ninth all time in school history
Casey O'Connor finished 12th in the 1500m run (4:41.13) out of 87 runners. Her time is good for ninth in school history
Erin Shannon in the 3000m steeplechase placed in 10th with a time of 11:51.03, good for seventh best in school history
Alexis Hill and Morgan Sharp finished in 10th and 11th place, respectively, in the 10000m run. Hill's time (39:30.33) is now the ninth best in school history
The Owls also competed in two relay races at the Pepsi Florida Relays at Gainesville on Saturday. The 4x100 team (Breyanna Chambliss, Abraiya Elam, Cara Simpson, Eriana Teague) finished with a time of 48.56. The 4x400 team (Beyonce Green, Jessica Lambert, Simpson, Teague) finished at 3:49.45

Melissa Mundell – 17th in 400m (58.80)
O'Connor – 11th in 1500m (4:39.85)
Saiz – 12th in 5000m (17:51.94)
Shannon – 6th in 3000m steeplechase (11:51.03)
Sharp – 3rd in 10000m (39:30.33)
Simpson – 10th in 400m (56.94)
Teague – 17th in 400m hurdles (1:06.28)

Next Saturday, the Owls will head to Gainesville for the second time in two weeks, this time to compete in the Tom Jones Memorial Meet.
