Owls Prepare for C-USA Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team will host the Conference USA Championship beginning Monday at nearby PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. The three-day event will feature 18 holes per day and will conclude on Wednesday.

The Course
The Champion Course at PGA National will play as a 6,154-yard par-72. The course plays host each year to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic. It was also the site of the 1983 Ryder Cup and the 1987 PGA Championship. The tough three hole stretch of the par-3 15th, par-4 16th, and par-3 17th holes is known as "The Bear Trap," named after Jack Nicklaus, who is nicknamed the Golden Bear and redesigned the course in 2002.The Field
