Alblas Finishes Runner-Up at PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florida Atlantic graduate senior women's golfer Carolin Alblas finished second at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship on Wednesday afternoon at The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach.

Formerly known as the National Minority Collegiate Championship, the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC) is the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf. Founded in 1986, the inspiration for the event stemmed from elevating the game at minority colleges and universities. For more than 30 years, the PWCC has set the largest stage for student-athletes to compete at the highest level.

Alblas circled four birdies on her way to a final round 70 (-1) on Wednesday, to finish at +7 for the tournament, runner-up to UNC-Wilmington's Alexis Faieta (+2). It marks the best finish of the season for the former three-time NAIA All-American at Keiser.
