BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team competed in the first day of the Conference USA Indoor Championships. The meet saw two Owls qualify for the finals in the preliminary events as well as two top 10 finishes in the pentathlon and 5000m run, respectively. The meet was then capped off by a new school record in the distance medley relay.

- The Owls broke a school record in the distance medley. The team (Casey O'Connor, Eriana Teague, Jordan Stevens, Paige Saiz) finished in seventh place with a time of 11:59.61.
- Kaitlyn Kirby led things off for the Owls with a strong performance in the pentathlon, finishing in fourth place. Her final score of 3,500 is the third best performance in school history. This included a mark of 11.59m in the shot put, fifth all time in school history, and a mark of 1.57 in the long jump, both her personal best and ninth all time in school history.
- Cara Simpson qualified for the 60m finals with a seventh-place finish while tying her own personal best time. (7.55)
- Jessica Lambert will compete in the 800m finals after qualifying with a time of 2:15.10 in the preliminaries. This marks the 10th best time in school history.
- Madlen Kappeler set a personal best in the 5000m run with a time of 17:28.23, good for fourth all time in school history.
- The mile run saw both O'Connor and Saiz place in the FAU record book. O'Connor's time of 4:58.70 is seventh all time in school history while Saiz's time of 5:01.93 is good for ninth.
- Dahlia Barnes in the long jump finished with a mark of 5.37m, 10th all time in school history.
