Owls Conclude Outdoor Season Opener

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team begin the outdoor season at the University of Miami as they competed in the 2026 Hurricane Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls started the day with the 800-meter. FAU competed in a total of five events today (800-meter, 400-meter hurdles, 400-meter, 200-meter, and 4x400-meter relay).
QUICK HITS
- The 400-meter race kicked things off, with four Owls competing. Jada Bolhuis was FAU's top finisher, placing fourth in a season best time of 56.41.
- Rosa ten Berg and Teegan Anderson represented the Owls in the 800-meter as they placed first (2:09.26) and second (2:12.64). With Anderson's performance today she etched her name in the record book at No. 10 in program history.
- Freshman Joelle White placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.68 in her first collegiate outdoor meet of her career. This marks White's first second place finish in her collegiate career.
- Bolhuis, Adriana Lopez, and Richelle Williams competed in the 200-meter.
- Bolhuis recorded a time of 24.95 (+1.1) for a new personal best in the 200-meter.
- White, Bolhuis, Williams, and Lopez represented FAU in the 4x400-meter relay.
UPCOMING
The Owls will split into two groups with select distance runners traveling to compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Thursday, March 26. The remaining runners will return to Coral Gables, Florida to compete in another meet hosted by the University of Miami on Saturday, March 28.
