BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team wrapped up their indoor season at the final day of the Conference USA Indoor Championships. All four of the final events the Owls competed in saw a top 10 finishing time in school history. Overall, FAU placed 12th out of 13 teams in the meet.

"I'm extremely proud of our student athletes. I'm ecstatic about Coach [Georgette] Nixon's passion for the sport and ability to get our student athletes ready to compete. Virtually everyone who competed in an FAU uniform this weekend set new personal bests. Lots of people put their names into our record books. We had people score valuable points for our program.
Â
At the same time, we are by no means satisfied and we have much loftier goals. Our team (coaches, student athletes, trainers, support staff) are all on the same page. We have the same vision for the future of the program, and this weekend's results will only fuel our competitive drives to continue to improve and maximize the God-given potential we all have inside of us.
Â
We have a great group of people and we're all very excited for our upcoming outdoor season! Great things lie ahead for us!"
