Head Coach Alex Smolka on the women's race
"Our women's team ran tough. We were missing two key contributors this morning and still were very close to where we know we can be. We're not satisfied and the team knows they can run faster, but I am proud of how we competed. We are making steady progress, which is exciting! It's an amazing group to be a part of and we're excited for the future! Congrats to Madlen for her fourth consecutive All-Conference cross country performance."

On the men's race
"Our men ran a smart and strong race! Chris had a huge PR, Bodey ran the last mile missing one shoe, Logan (Sallas) didn't have his best race today, but hung tough and competed, Matthew ran his best 8K race in his career, Grant (Kaminer) struggled but fought all the way through to the finish, and Joey (Javruek) improved by almost a minute from his previous 8K time this season. They are all progressing and it's a great group!"

The men and women will put a bow on their 2022 season at the NCAA South Regionals, to be held on Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Alabama.
