Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic cross country Head Coach Alex Smolka is pleased to release the 2026 schedule, which is set to begin for the men's and women's squads in early September.
"I'm very excited for our 2026 cross country season," said Smolka. "Although we are not traveling to many different courses, the courses we will be racing on will prepare us well for our postseason goals."
The Owls will participate in three regular season meets, all in the Sunshine State. The opening contest is the Florida Intercollegiate XC Invitational at Cecil Field in Jacksonville on Sept. 4. Then, the teams will have two competitions on the eventual NCAA course, this year set for Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. FAU will travel there to take part in Pre-Regionals on Sept. 18, and once more on Oct. 9 for the FSU XC Invitational.
The 2026 American Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Tulane, at Lake Oaks Park in New Orleans, on Saturday, Oct. 31. The NCAA South Regionals is scheduled for two weeks later on Nov. 13, at Appalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
