On the Weekend:
"This weekend was a little bit of a mixed bag," said head coach
Alex Smolka. "We experienced everything from some unfortunate mishaps, some slightly subpar performances, a number of personal bests and two outstanding performances."
Â
On the Meet's Highlights:
"The two highlights of the meet were more certainly Cara [Simpson's] performance in the 400 meter, especially considering it was her first time running the event, and Jess [Lambert's] very fast 800 meters! Both student-athletes are just scratching the surface of their potential, and it will be exciting to see how they progress the remainder of the season as well as in future years."
Â
Wrap-up:
"Overall I'm extremely proud and humbled to be working with a great group of student-athletes."
Â
FAU will compete in their final meet of the regular season next week at the UNF Team Invite in Jacksonville. The meet will take place all day Friday, April 30.
