CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team competed at the Miami Alumni Invitational on Saturday, as the team faced off against the likes of Miami, Vanderbilt, UCF, FIU and Florida A&M.
Roshelle Francois led the way with two big personal records, while several Owls also launched personal bests.
Â
"Today was a little bit of a mixed bag; we had some performances which were solid but not spectacular, some of which weren't great and some which were outstanding," said head coach
Alex Smolka. :I'm proud of everyone's effort and determination. Roshelle [Francois] specifically had a very good meet! Setting new PR's is always a thrill! At the same time we can learn from mediocre performances just as much, if not more."
Â
On competing at UM for third time in fourth weeks"
"We're thankful to UM @canestrack for putting on high quality meets and giving us an opportunity to compete locally. We're also excited to experience a different environment in two weeks at UCF. The future continues to look bright!"
