HOUSTON – Florida Atlantic University men's tennis wrapped up their stay at the 62nd Ralph O'Connor Rice Invitational by topping the homestanding Owls of Rice, 4-1.

- FAU (6-7) moved ahead after doubles
- Within moments of one another, No. 1 and No. 2 went the visiting Owls' way, both by 6-4 scores. The No. 1 pairing of Maxime Lapraille and Filip Krolo won first; followed nearly immediately by Alvaro Fernandez Horta and Kevin Huempfner on No. 2
- Rice (7-8) took the first singles result to tie things up at 1-1
- FAU moved back ahead with Gerard Escandell taking No. 5 (6-2, 6-2), and was a point away after Fernandez Horta did the same on No. 4 (6-3, 6-3)
- Huempfner provided the match-winning point on No. 2, also in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4
