BOCA RATON, Fla. – On Saturday and Sunday, the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team is one of 60 top teams across the nation taking part in ITA Kick-off Weekend. The Owls will head to Fort Worth, Texas, took be a part of a four-team bracket hosted by TCU.
Fifteen teams across the nation were chosen as host sites based on Oracle/ITA rankings at the end of 2018-19. The remaining teams in each bracket were determined via a draft process. The Owls will play TCU on Saturday, currently ranked No. 8, after the completion of Notre Dame and Arizona (both receiving votes in the latest Oracle/ITA poll). The following day is the consolation and championship.
Owls' Week in Review
The Owls (2-3) split last weekend at home, defeating ETSU and falling to USF. Freshman Filip Krolo has picked up a couple of singles wins in his young career, including against the Bucs in the former match. Alvaro Fernandez Horta has a singles victory plus two more in doubles.
