Owls' Weekend in Review
The Owls (29-14, 15-6 C-USA) had fallen twice at home to Old Dominion, and were down 7-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth. But the squad pulled out the unbelievable comeback win, scoring seven runs on six hits, with the nearly half-hour-long inning capped on a walkoff two-run single by
Pedro Pages with the bases loaded. That was his second ninth-inning game-winning hit to complete a comeback last week, doing the same in Gainesville Tuesday night to beat Florida, 13-11.
Owls' Midweek in Preview
FGCU (30-14, 12-3 Atlantic Sun) currently sits atop their conference standings, having won their last six, and 11 of 12, ASUN matchups. Five Eagle starters are at .300 or higher, led by Joe Kinker's .336 average. He has six home runs and 34 RBI, both second on the team to Jay Hayes (eight and 41).
Midweek Probable Starting Pitching Matchup

Opponent History
This year's earlier scheduled matchup, March 19 in Fort Myers, was rained out, just as last year's attempt to play there was as well. The teams met once last year, and it too was affected by rain, necessitating a location change from West Palm Beach to FAU Baseball Stadium. FGCU took that game, 4-2, and has a 12-7 lead in the all-time series. Over the last 10 years, it's knotted up, 5-5.
