Boylston Signs Free Agent Deal with Seattle Mariners

SEATTLE – The Seattle Mariners signed Florida Atlantic sophomore outfielder Kyle Boylston to a professional contract on Sunday. Boylston becomes the 19th Owl currently signed to a professional contract and the 12th to sign with an MLB club.
The Orange Park, Florida native appeared in 45 games for the Owls this past season, including 37 starts between the outfield and designated hitter. He batted .289 with 19 RBI, 31 runs scored, and a perfect 14 for 14 in stolen bases. In addition to baseball, Boylston also appeared in eight games as a safety for the Florida Atlantic football team last fall.
