NFL Owl in the Super Bowl

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic alumnus and offensive lineman Federico Maranges is heading to Super Bowl LX as a member of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad.
Since the football program's inception 25 years ago, 60 Owl alum have signed an NFL contract. Maranges is now one of nine to be on the roster of a Super Bowl participant and will look to become the seventh to win a title.
Maranges spent six seasons with the Owls from 2019-24, winning a conference championship and serving as a team captain during that span.
A model student-athlete for Florida Atlantic both on and off the field, Maranges manned the middle of the offensive line while at the same time pursuing his bachelor's degree in neuroscience and biology with a minor in psychology and then his master's in biomedical sciences. He also served as the president for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for an unprecedented three terms.
