SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Florida Atlantic men's tennis fell 6-1 to UCSB on Saturday evening. It was the first of two scheduled California road matches with the next contest slated for 3 p.m. ET Sunday at Pepperdine.

THE BEGINNING
FAU (1-1) captured doubles courts #1 and #2 to carry a 1-0 lead into singles play. Segundo Goity Zapico / Simon Myslivec were the first to win their doubles court while UCSB (1-0) captured court #3, forcing the decision to be made on court #1. FAU's Mark Havlicek / Marek Pazdera came away with the 6-4 win to secure the match's first point.

THE MIDDLE
UCSB captured courts #2, 4, and #5 straight sets to build a 3-1 lead.

THE END
Myslivec forced a third set before succumbing to UCSB and a team clinch by the host. Predetermined to play all matches in entirety, Goity Zapico fell in three sets on court #1 as did Pazdera on court #6.

UCSB improved its all-time record versus FAU to 5-0 with the win.
