BOCA RATON, Fla. – With players scattered around at various locations, the Florida Atlantic men's tennis team found its competitive edges in Portugal, Athens, Georgia or Bonita, Florida last weekend.

Segundo Goity Zapico, a sophomore from Argentina, completed the 25K ITF Tournament in Portugal as a quarterfinalist. The M&M duo of Mark Havlicek and Marek Pazdera represented the Owls at the NCAA Southeast Section where they were just one of two playing for a non-ACC, SEC or Big Ten member. Additionally, 12 singles matches and six doubles matches were played in Bonita Bay with Jan Kusy and Luca Miremont turning in strong weekends.

Returners and Czech Republic natives Simon Myslivec, a junior, and Pazdera, a sophomore, will open play on November 24. The duo will pair together the same day in doubles action.
