BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic football team returned to the practice fields on Tuesday morning in high spirits following its first American Conference win of the season, with eyes set towards the Saturday, Oct. 11 matchup against UAB at Flagler Credit Union Stadium. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
While the Owls (2-3, 1-1) look to take care of business on the field against the Blazers (2-3, 0-2), it will be a weekend of celebration for the program, FAU Athletics, and the University as a whole. The game, taking place on Parents' Weekend, will also honor football's 25th anniversary as well as the FAU Athletics Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, including former Owl football players Trey Hendrickson (2013-16), Harrison Bryant (2016-19), and D'Joun Smith (2011-2014).
The two teams will meet for the second time as members of the American Conference and 11th time overall, with the Owls holding a 6-4 advantage and a 4-1 record at home, including a 49-6 victory in 2019's Conference USA Championship.
