BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic softball team (20-7, 2-1 AAC) is set to face UAB for the first American Athletic Conference matchup on Joan Joyce Field. The series begins Friday, Mar. 15, with the first pitch at 6 p.m. Games two and three will follow on Mar. 16 and 17.
The Owls enter their second conference series with a 2-1 record in the AAC. This matchup marks the first time these former Conference USAÂ rivals face each other in the American Athletic Conference.Â

The Owls lead the series 8-5 against the Blazers. The last time these two programs faced each other was May 12, 2023 in the CUSA Championship where they won 5-3. The Owls won two out of three to take the series last year in Birmingham, Ala. The program history dates back to Mar. 14, 2014, Florida Atlantic took on UAB for the first time in program history in Alabama and fell short 4-3.Â
