The Owls Kick off the 2024 Season with the Paradise Classic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2024 season is set to get started for the Florida Atlantic University softball team on Thursday night. The Owls begin their 55-game journey on Feb. 8 against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. The game against The Herd marks the second game of the Paradise Classic, a weekend-long tournament that features Arkansas, Penn State, Ohio, and Michigan State. FAU will compete in five games this opening weekend.
This marks Head Coach Jordan Clark's second year at the helm for the Owls. Clark will face a familiar program as the Owls will take on Arkansas, her previous stop, for game three of the day.
Senior outfielder Cammeo Presutti returns for the Owls. In 2023, Presutti led the team in runs (35), hits (61) and batting average (.322).
Zoey Jones is back for her senior year, Jones is back to hold down first base after recording 300 putouts last season. She competed in 54 games with 53 starts on the year.
Gabby Sacco returns after being the ace in the circle last year for Florida Atlantic, recording a record of 19-8 and a 1.61 ERA. She was named C-USA Pitcher of the Year after an incredible 2023 season. Sacco pitched a total of 169.1 innings with 16 complete games.
Junior Ainsley Lambert, another great addition in the circle for the Owls, returns after 24 appearances in the 2023 season. Lambert lead the pitching staff in saves with three.
Megan Moll, Trinity Schlotterbeck, Katelynn de Leon, Cally Kildow, Presley Leebrick, Kamryn Jackson, Gabby Baylog, and Jaden Martinez will be new faces to see during the 2024 season.

Last season, the Owls registered a 35-20 record, which was the most wins in a season since 2017. The Owls made an appearance in the Conference USA Championship Tournament in the first year under the leadership of Clark.
