BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic volleyball returns to Paradise on Sunday, Nov. 3, as the Owls host the Temple Owls for a 12 p.m. first serve inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
- Florida Atlantic enters the midweek matchup at 13-10 on the season and 5-6 in AAC play. The Owls are 3-2 over their last five contests, earning wins over Rice, South Florida, and Charlotte, but enter this weekend after a hard-fought four-set loss at South Florida.
- As a team, the Owls lead the AAC in assists (1,095), kills (1,160), and attacks (3,207), and rank second in digs (1,381), third in assists per set (12.44), digs per set (15.69), kills per set (13.18), attacks per set (36.44), and opponent hitting percentage (.193), and fourth in service aces (128) and blocks (182.5).
- The Owls' offensive leaders are Katelynn Robine and Valeria Rosado. Robine boasts a team-leading 263 kills, averaging 3.06 kills per set, while Rosado ranks second on the team with 255 kills, averaging 2.93 kills per set.
- Victoria Hensley leads the AAC in assists, dishing out 939 assists, which ranks fifth nationally, and ranks second in the conference in assists per set, averaging 10.67 assists per set, ranking her 15th in the nation.
- Libro Isabelle Northam leads the team in digs, averaging 2.68 digs per set, and Rosado ranks second on the team in digs, tallying 2.66 digs per set.
- The Owls' block is led by Kaila Ru, averaging 1.27 blocks per set, while Madison Dyer ranks second on the team, recording 0.75 blocks per set this season.
- Temple enters Sunday's matchup at 11-14 on the season and 3-8 in conference play. The Owls are currently on a two-game skid after falling in a pair of sweeps against Rice and South Florida.
- Offensively, the Owls are led by Taylor Davenport and Sydney Jones, averaging 4.20 and 3.58 kills per set, respectively.
- Lexi Yoza is Temple's assists leader, recording 639 assists and averaging 7.52 assists per set, while Ava Blascziek ranks second on the team with 252 assists, averaging 4.58 assists per set.
- Defensively, Temple's back row is led by Hikialani Kaohelaulii, Yoza, and Jones, averaging 2.45, 2.29, and 2.26 digs per set, respectively. At the net, Katie Hickey, Chelci Banks, and Alyssa Finister lead the Owls in blocks, averaging 0.97, 0.84, and 0.71 blocks per set, respectively.
- The Owls will head to the Lone Star State next weekend as they close out their regular season road schedule, taking on North Texas on Nov. 8 and UTSA on Nov. 10.
