TAMPA. Fla. - Helping lead the Owls to 19 wins this season, a sixth-place finish in the American Conference, and securing a spot in the American tournament,
Olivia Hart was recognized as American Second Team All-Conference, and
Emsley Venard received All-Freshman Team honors, announced by the league office on Thursday.
The postseason accolades are the first career postseason honors for Hart and Venard.
Hart had a tremendous breakout season for the Owls, both offensively and defensively. Hart led the Owls in kills per set (3.59), ranking seventh in the American, and total kills (366), finishing eighth in the league. She also led the Owls at the service line, recording a team-best 40 service aces. Hart was also a major anchor for the Owls' back row, ranking second on the team with 290 digs, averaging 2.84 per set this season. She also ranked fifth on the team with 34 blocks and added 12 assists throughout the 2025 campaign. Hart led the Owls with a team-best 11 double-doubles this season. She tallied a career-best 19 kills at UCF on September 13 and a career-best 21 digs during the Owls' five-set win over Brown on September 12. Hart was also recognized with American Weekly Honorable Mention honors on October 27.
Venard was the Owls' assists leader this season, dishing out a team-leading 604 assists this season, averaging 5.98 assists per set. Venard also ranks fourth on the team in digs, recording 160 digs and tying for fifth on the team in digs per set, averaging 1.58 per set. She also ranks second on the Owls in double-doubles this season, tallying six double-doubles with assists and digs. Venard set numerous career highs in 2025. She dished out a career-best 31 assists during the Owls' four-set win over Temple on Oct. 17. She set a career-high 12 digs in the Owls' road game at Tulane on November 7.

The Florida Atlantic Owls will open up postseason play on Friday, Nov. 21, in the American Conference Tournament. The Owls are set for a quarterfinal matchup against No. 3-seed Tulsa. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at The Corral in Tampa, Florida.
