Owls Face Temple on the Road Before Senior Day Against ECU

PHILADELPHIA – Florida Atlantic women's soccer will take on the Owls of Temple on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. and the Pirates of East Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. for the last home match of the season.
The Owls (2-9-4, 1-4-2 AAC) will play Temple (2-14-0, 0-7-0 AAC) on the road in Philadelphia for the first time in program history. The last time these two teams faced each other was in Boca Raton when the Owls won 2-0 in their first matchup against the Temple Owls. The match on Thursday night will air on ESPN+. The Florida Atlantic Owls will be back at it on Sunday afternoon as they take on ECU (6-3-6, 3-2-3 AAC) in the last home regular season match to close out the week. This will mark the fourth match between these two teams in program history.
All home games at the FAU Soccer Stadium are free admission. On Sunday, Florida Atlantic will honor the eight seniors (Drew Dempsey, Jodi Smith, Emmy Schleifer, Malaya Melancon, Kat Cunningham, Kaylin Johnston, Iris Young, and Sofia Voldby) prior to kickoff.

- Baker is the only women's soccer coach in history to go to a Division I, II, and III postseason tournament
- Florida Atlantic is in its second year in the American Athletic Conference after making it to the AAC Semifinals last season

- Senior Drew Dempsey and Horan are now the leading goal scorers on the season for Florida Atlantic, with two each
- Temple holds a 2-14-0, 0-7-0 AAC record thus far
- This is the first season with Head Coach Chris Shaw at the helm for the Owls
- Shari Atkins is the leading goal scorer for the Owls with three on the year
- Temple averages 0.56 goals per game with a total of nine on the season
