BOCA RATON, Fla. – A successful year and a decade-long era will come to a close for the Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team in Denton, Texas.
The Owls will compete in their final outdoor Conference USA Championship from May 12-14. Following the conclusion of the meet and the season, a new era begins for FAU as they join the American Athletic Conference.Â

Since the start of the 2023 calendar year, the Florida Atlantic season has been defined by school records. Between the indoor and outdoor season, the Owls have broken an FAU record 11 times, highlighted by
Jessica Lambert continually besting her own mark in the 800m. including in the most recent meet.

Florida Atlantic's weekend will kick off with
Madlen Kappeler running in the 10,000m. On Saturday, a bulk of Owls are set to compete in preliminary events and should they qualify for the finals, a majority will take place on Sunday along with the 4x400 relay.Â

UNF East Coast RelaysÂ
- Lambert's Florida Atlantic record-breaking time of 2:05.99 became the third best time in the conference
- Kappeler ran for a time of 17:34.08, fifth best in school history
- Anabell Reumann finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase (11:07.46) Â
- Lambert's outdoor season has been marked by her dominance in the 800m, beginning with a victory in the season opener at the UCF Invite with a time of 2:09.68. the very next weekend, she broke the school record with a time of 2:07.8, before setting the new mark  once again at the UNF Invite. She currently is ranked third in Conference USA
- Reumann continually impresses in the steeplechase. The freshman from Berlin, Germany began her outdoor season setting the record in the 2000m by over 33 seconds. In the 3000m steeplechase, she currently ranks fourth in the conference after a season-best time of 11:18.8 at the USF Invitational
- Kappeler competed in the 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays, finishing with a personal best time of 36:14.82
- Cara Simpson has led the way for the Owls in the 100m, consistently coming up with top 10 times in school history. At the UM Hurricane Invitational, she finished with a time of 11.86, bested by a time of 11.85 in the USF Invitational and finally 11.84 at UNF
- Dahlia Barnes recorded a top nine Florida Atlantic mark in the long jump at the UCF Invitational (5.55)Â

- Kappeler – 6th in 10,000m (36:14.4), 14th in 5000m (17:20.64)

- Reumann – 4th in 3000m steeplechase (10:56.35)Â
- Casey O'Connor – 18th in 800m (2:17.98), 20th in 1500m (4:43.23)
- Simpson – 13th in 100m (11.84), 14th in 200m (24.28)
- Rosa ten Berg – 9th in 800m (2:13.84)
- Elyssa Toal – 16th in 800m (2:17.38)
- 4x100 relay (Elam, Melissa Mundell, Simpson, Eriana Teague) – 7th (47.02)
