BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team will send select members of their distance squad to compete in the VertKlasse Meet on Friday. The events will be held at High Point University in North Carolina.

The Owls competed in multiple meets.
Madlen Kappeler ran at the Raleigh Relays while the rest of the team took part in the UM Hurricane Invitational
- Kappeler ran in the 1000m, where her time of 36:14.4 is third best in FAU history
- Jessica Lambert continued her dominant season, setting the school record in the outdoor 800m (2:07.8)
- Cara Simpson placed in third in the 100m with a time of 11.86, ninth best in school history. Simpson also finished with a time of 24.28 in the 200m for the eighth best time in FAU history
- Lambert: 3rd in 800m (2:07.8), 13th in 400m hurdles (1:05.67)
- Kappeler: 3rd in 1000m (36:14.4)
- Simpson: 8th in 100m (11.86), 5th in 200m (24.28)
- Elyssa Toal: 8th in 800m (2:17.38)
- Jordan Stevens: 12th in 800m (2:19.55), 17th in 1500m (4:45.63)
- Eriana Teague: 12th in 400m (57.76), 19th in 200m (25.15)
- Melissa Mundell: 15th in 400m (58.58), 20th in 200m (25.21)
- Holly Arrison: 15th in 5000m (19:00.22)
- Rosa Ten Berg: 16th in 800m (2:21.09)
- Leah Helms: 20th in 800m (2:23.25)
- 4x400 Relay (Simpson, Lambert, Mundell, Ten Berg) – 5th (3:50.59)
The full squad will return to competition for the USF Invitational, to be held from April 7-8.
