SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Florida Atlantic University baseball begins its final season in Conference USA on Friday at UTSA. The Owls enter the first true road trip of 2023 riding a five-game winning streak.
Â
The Owls made quick work of Bradley on Wednesday afternoon with a 15-2, seven-inning thrashing.
Jackson Ross totaled six RBIs, four of which came on a fifth inning grand slam.
Dylan Goldstein homered twice and doubled.

UTSA enters the weekend with a seven-game winning streak of its own. The Roadrunners swept Texas A&M – Corpus Christi last weekend before knocking off Stephen F. Austin 9-3 on Wednesday.
The Roadrunners were picked fifth in the preseason C-USA poll despite making it to the final day at last season's conference tournament. Most of the squad is back in 2023 led by senior infielder Leyton Berry, a preseason All-C-USA selection. Antonio Valdez is the Roadrunners' top newcomer. He's already racked up 35 RBIs in the first 18 games of the season.
On the mound, UTSA has not announced a rotation for the weekend but stalwarts Luke Malone and Ulises Quiroga will likely keep their usual Friday and Saturday spots. Malone pitched nine innings in relief against the Owls in last season's C-USA tournament matchup. Quiroga is 3-0 with a 3.86 ERA in four starts. Â
Â
The Owls head to Coral Gables on Wednesday for the second meeting of the season with Miami. They return home next weekend for a series with Middle Tennessee.
