SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Florida Atlantic baseball dropped the Conference USA opener 8-2 to UTSA on Friday night snapping a five-game winning streak.

Jalen DeBose tracked it down, but the ball bounced in and out of the glove of the Owls' CF. Two runs scored and King was thrown out at the plate trying to stretch.
FAU got on the board in the fourth when
Mitchell Hartigan led off with a double. After a
Nolan Schanuel single,
Jackson Ross grounded into a double play, but Hartigan came across to score.
UTSA scored three runs in the fifth inning with five hits. The Owls loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the sixth but managed just one run on a sacrifice fly by
Caleb Pendleton.
The Roadrunners added three more in bottom of the sixth to effectively put it out of reach at 8-2.
