Owls Lead C-USA Championship After Day One

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team has a four-shot lead after 18 holes at the Conference USA Championship. In the individual competition, Letizia Bagnoli holds a three-shot lead after an opening round 70 (-2).

One of the pre-tournament favorites, Bagnoli stormed out of the gates on Monday. She was four-under after seven holes
The par-four 4th and par-four 12th played as two of the three toughest holes in the first round but not for the senior from Florence, Italy

The Owls (+15) have a four-shot advantage over Old Dominion in second place
