LYNCHBURG, Va. – FAU junior
Rateb Hussein continued his strong weekend at the CCSA swimming & diving championships. Hussein provided another record-breaking, conference-winning performance in Friday's final session.
Hussein took the conference title in the 200 fly, his second of the weekend, with a time of 1:44.94. That topped the previous school record, held by Hussein, of 1:45.01. That is Hussein's second NCAA B Cut of the weekend and second CCSA title of the weekend.
Also landing on the podium was
Enrique Prats Ruedi, who set an FAU freshman record in the 100 breast at 55.55.
Will Henderson took fourth place in the same event, touching the wall at 56.19.
The FAU 800 free relay squad claimed second place.
Timo Paisley,
Logan Thornsberry,
Nick Shaffer, and
Alec Peckmann clocked in at 6:35.40, less than a second away from UIW's team who took first at 6:34.73.
As a team, the Owls stand in second place behind UIW. FAU will look to finish strong in the final day of the CCSA Championships
