BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams will head to Tampa to compete in the University of South Florida Invitational on Friday afternoon. This will mark their final regular season race before the Conference USA Championships.
The action will kick off with the Women's 5K at 5 p.m. followed by the Men's 8K at 5:50 p.m.
 
 
The Owls are coming off of hosting their only home race of the season at the FAU Invitational.
Women
	- The women's team placed in fourth in the 5K with a score of 84
- Casey O'Connor was the star of the show for the Owls, finishing in second place out of 79 runners with a new personal record of 18:22. Her time was also the second best ever for the team on the South County Regional Park course. O'Connor was named C-USA Athlete of the Week for her performance, the first of her career
- Jordan Stevens was next to finish for the Owls in 20th place (19:26.2)
- Isabel O'Brien tallied a time of 19:33.2, good for 22nd place
Men
	- The men placed in fifth in the 7K with a score of 111
- Christopher Jones led the way for the Owls with a sixth-place finish out of 64 runners (24:18.9)
- Bodey Miller finished in 19th place (24:58.1)
- Matthew Labrato crossed the finish line with a time 25:31.8, earning 28th place
Up next for FAU is the Conference USA Championship on Saturday, Oct. 29, hosted by University of North Texas.
