MURFREESBORO, Tenn.  – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team completed their second day of the 2021 Conference USA Outdoor Track & field Championships.
Jessica Lambert led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters and will compete in the finals tomorrow in hopes of defending her title from the indoor championships. FAU stands in 11th right now with four points.

- Ameion Hamlet captured 24th in the long jump with a 5.30 meter mark. Linsey Moorer took 26th (4.51m)
- Lauren Macon led the Owls in the 1500 meters with an 18th-place finish (4:51.29)
- Nyeira Gordon tallied 13th in the 100 meter hurdles (14.96)
- Roshelle Francois finished the 400 meters in 56.76 to take 11th
- Cara Simpson logged 12th in the 100 meters (12.01) and 13th in the 200 meters (24.72)
- Lambert won her heat in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.89. Her mark was the fourth fastest overall and she will compete in the event's finals tomorrow at 6:20 p.m.
- Kendall Kirkland took 15th in the 400 meter hurdles (1:11.45)
- Alexis Hill finishesdthe day with 16th place in the steeplechase. Her time of 12:28.33 is a new personal record and the 10th fastest time in school history

The fourth and final day of the C-USA Championships will take place tomorrow. The Owls' first field event begins at 4:30 p.m. with the triple jump.
