MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team put a wrap to the 2020-21 Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday. Jessica Lambert captured the bronze medal in the 800 meters, as the Owls finished the weekend in 12th place with 15 points.

Anaiis Scheeres cleared 1.60m in the high jump to tie for 12th. Her mark was a personal record in outdoor season and is tied for the fifth best in school history
Lambert earned the bronze in the 800 meters with her time of 2:09.60, which marked a new personal record in outdoor season and remains as the third fastest time in program history
Madlen Kappeler led the distance crew in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:44.93. In her third race of the weekend, Lauren Macon captured 29th (18:40.73), while Paige Saiz followed in 31st (18:47.22)
The 4x400 meter relay wrapped up the weekend on a high note with fourth place in the event. Cara Simpson, Roshelle Francois, Madison King and Lambert earned the team a big five points with a time of 3:45.48

The Owls will have to wait and see if their times qualify for the first round of the NCAA Championships.
