Owls' Weekend in Review
The Owls (16-16, 5-7 C-USA) salvaged the finale last weekend at home versus Old Dominion behind a combined shutout by
Javi Rivera (8 IP, 3 H, 7 K) and
Braden Ostrander (1 IP, 1 H, 3 K). A four-run eighth supported the pitching, with the scoring starting from a two-run homer by
B.J. Murray, his C-USA-leading 10th blast of the year.

Owls' Weekend in Preview
UAB (10-21, 3-9 C-USA) has lost their last six, including Tuesday's midweek against Troy, and four last weekend in league play, at Southern Miss. Chandler Simpson is the team's top hitter at .333, and is 13-for-13 in stolen bases, third in the league. A spot ahead of him is teammate Jess Davis, who has 15 steals.
