CLEARWATER, Fla. – The American Conference announced its all-conference teams for baseball on Monday. Florida Atlantic was represented by two of its born-and-raised Boca natives, sophomore pitcher
James Litman on the First Team and redshirt senior third baseman
Nick Romano on the Second Team.
Litman made every Friday start for the Owls this season, amassing an 8-3 record and a 3.66 ERA. Entering the postseason, he's second in the American in wins, third in innings pitched (78.2), and fourth in strikeouts (73).
Romano started all 55 games this season for the Owls at third base. He leads the team in hits (65) and is tied for the lead in RBI (38). He's also been a key reason why the Owls finished the regular season with the best fielding percentage in the American. Romano has committed just three errors in 138 chances (.978 fielding percentage).
