BOCA RATON, Fla. –  After an 18-day break from competition, the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team will head to the Carolinas to play two tournaments in a week. It will first compete in the River Landing Classic in Wallace, N.C., from March 8-9 before starting the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C. on March 13. Â
"I believe we are making progress as a team and getting the opportunity to compete in back-to-back events will be really good for us," FAU coach
Aimee Neff said. "I've heard great things about River Landing, and we can't wait to get to Wilmington!"
The UNC Wilmington-hosted River Landing Classic features a field of FAU, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Elon, High Point, James Madison, Marshall, N.C. A&T, Richmond and Rutgers.Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Golfstat will provide live scoring

The Low Country Intercollegiate will be played at Bear Creek, a par-72 course, from March 13-14. Wofford is hosting the event. In addition to FAU and Wofford, participating teams include USC Beaufort, Albany, Dayton, Youngstown State, Lipscomb, Citadel, Presbyterian College, Gardner-Webb, Winthrop, Upstate, Elon, UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State. Justine Fournand tied for 37
th at the Moon Golf Invitational, the Owls' last tournament. The reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year posted a three-round 219 and a two-under 70 in Round 3. That performance moved her to No. 84 among all collegiate golfers, per Golfstat.
