BOCA RATON, Fla. – The three-match homestand for Florida Atlantic University men's tennis continued Friday, and saw the Owls suffer a 5-2 loss in a four-hour battle against Liberty at the FAU Tennis Complex.

Notables:
- The Flames (9-5) and Owls (5-5) split the first two doubles decisions
- Finn Stodder and Hunter Robbins sped to a win for the second straight day, 6-2 on No. 3. Liberty knotted it up on No. 2
- Then, the top court was a back-and-forth struggle. Liberty moved ahead early, Maxime Lapraille and Filip Krolo recovered to tie and eventually force a tiebreaker, but the Flames' pair prevailed, 7-6 (7-4)
- Again, FAU battled back to knot things up, with Stodder winning the first of just two straight-set results of the day, 6-4, 6-4 on No. 6
- Liberty won the next two to come within a point of the win
- The final three courts all went to a deciding third set, and the Flames took No. 2, and No. 4, the latter Gerard Escandell falling in yet another tiebreak: 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4)
- The last court to wrap was No. 3. It too had extra points, with Krolo coming out ahead in the end, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4)Â
