Owls Conclude First Day of Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team spent Valentine's Day at the Duran Golf Club on Sunday, completing the first round of the Moon Golf Invitational, a tournament featuring six top-15 teams and many other talented squads.
After Sunday's first round, the Owls are in 18th place with a 25-over-par 313. Justine Fournand is FAU's highest ranked individual, as she posted consecutive 73s to tie for 32nd. Blanka Decker shot consecutive 77s to tie for 68th, FAU's second-highest player.
Freshmen played a key role in the Owls' first day at the Moon Golf Invitational. FAU played Decker and Olivia Bergner, two first-year players from Germany, in its lineup.
Tomorrow, the Owls will play another 18 holes before finishing play on Tuesday. Live scoring can be found here.
