FAIRFAX, Va. – The FAU swimming & diving team continued its impressive performance in the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. After day two of competition, the men's team leads with 656.50 points, while the women stand in second place with 506 points.
The Owls continued their weekend trend of breaking records.
Rateb Hussein topped his previous school record in the 100 fly with a time of 46.75. That time is also an NCAA B-cut standard.
Dolores Margni broke the FAU freshman record in the 100 fly, posting a mark of 55.07 in the finals. She previously swam a 55.38 in prelims to break the former FAU freshman record.
Alec Peckmann continued his impressive weekend with a meet record time of 1:37.15 in the 200 free. Peckmann broke his own meet record of 1:38.17 from last year.
The 200 medley relay crew of
Taylor Eaton,
Brett Sasser,
Brett Reason, and
Logan Thornsberry broke the FAU freshman record with a time of 1:32.30.
