FAIRFAX, Va. – The FAU swimming & diving team continued its impressive performance in the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. After day two of competition, the men's team leads with 656.50 points, while the women stand in second place with 506 points.
The Owls continued their weekend trend of breaking records. Rateb Hussein topped his previous school record in the 100 fly with a time of 46.75. That time is also an NCAA B-cut standard.
Dolores Margni broke the FAU freshman record in the 100 fly, posting a mark of 55.07 in the finals. She previously swam a 55.38 in prelims to break the former FAU freshman record.
Alec Peckmann continued his impressive weekend with a meet record time of 1:37.15 in the 200 free. Peckmann broke his own meet record of 1:38.17 from last year.
The 200 medley relay crew of Taylor Eaton, Brett Sasser, Brett Reason, and Logan Thornsberry broke the FAU freshman record with a time of 1:32.30.

- Alicia Mora posted first-place finishes in both the 1-meter dive (275.25) and 3-meter dive (289.25)
- The women's 200 medley relay team of Lauren Wright, Nika Culina, Grace Molinaro, and Micaela Bernard posted a second-place finish of 1:44.48
- In the 400 IM, Nick Shaffer posted a second-place finish (3:57.35) while Jack Shapiro captured fourth (4:02.08)
- Jackson Kirk captured fifth place in the 100 fly with (49.42)
- Michael Cannatelli took first place in the 1-meter dive (280.50)
- Brandon Shepherd finished second in the 1-meter dive (277.50) and third in the 3-meter (281.10)
- Selina Staudenherz captured second place in the 3-meter dive (256.75) and third in the 1-meter (242.45)
- Kasia Szlek finished in third in the 200 free (1:50.28)
- Timo Paisley took fifth place in the 200 free (1:41.05)
- Nika Culina clocked in at 1:03.00 in the 100 breast for third place
- Kyle Douglas took second in the 100 breast (49.26)
- The 800 free relay team of Hussein, Paisley, Logan Thornsberry, and Peckmann took first place and scored 40 team points (6:42.15)
